Class 50 convoy Leaving Cardiff Canton 29th March 2012

On 29th March the three Class 50 locomotives, Class 37 locomotive and three wagons that had been based at Cardiff Canton for a good many years were being moved to the Severn Valley Railway.  I was lucky enough to photograph the departure in full sun.  Rumours have it that Colas have now taken over the Cardiff Canton Depot but I have not seen this confirmed.  Also noticed yesterday was that the very distinct water tower at Cardiff Canton has been more or less demolished., I am sure I have a picture of it somewhere.

Here is my photographic record of the 09.10am 6F50 Cardiff Canton to Kidderminster departure.
